Founded under the auspices of the prestigious Research Institute for Higher Education at Hiroshima University, HERA’s journey began with an inaugural conference in January 2014. This event marked the beginning of an exciting odyssey, with successive conferences held in various locations worldwide, weaving a tapestry of rich academic discourse and cultural exchange. These gatherings have not only deepened our understanding and connections among member countries but also honed our skills in organizing high-impact academic events.
Our commitment to academic excellence and collaboration has borne fruit in numerous ways. We’ve spearheaded research collaborations that span continents, enhanced our organizational prowess, and made significant contributions to the scholarly world. This includes special issues in renowned international journals and the publication of a pivotal book by Springer. Buoyed by our successes in the first five years, we proudly opened our doors even wider, welcoming new members from all over the world since our seventh conference in Kuala Lumpur in 2018.
